The Cardamom De-Seeder Machine, also described as an Elaichi Peeler cum Sifter, is engineered for efficient peeling and seed separation of cardamom pods in a two-stage process. The machine integrates a peeling mechanism with a sieving stage, allowing clean separation of seeds from pods, dust, dirt, and other foreign matter, thereby improving yield and reducing manual sorting.

In the first stage, cardamom pods are introduced into the peeling chamber through the infeed hopper, where controlled abrasion and mechanical action carefully remove the pod covering to expose seeds. The peeling mechanism is designed to minimize seed damage while effectively detaching seed material from the outer husk.

In the second stage, the material discharged from the peeling chamber enters the sieving unit, where a tilted reciprocating sieve separates seeds from pods, waste, and dust. The sieving arrangement ensures that only usable seeds pass through the sieve openings and are collected via the designated outlet, while pods, husk fragments, and unwanted material are discharged separately through a dedicated waste outlet.

This two-stage integration significantly reduces manual labour, improves throughput, and enhances product cleanliness, making it ideal for commercial cardamom processing operations in food, spices, and agro-processing industries.

The sieve surface and product-contact components are manufactured from Mild Steel (MS) as standard, with the option to fabricate these components in Stainless Steel (SS-304) if required to ensure hygiene, corrosion resistance, and long service life. Non-product contact parts are fabricated in Heavy-Duty Mild Steel (MS) for structural integrity and durability.

The Cardamom De-Seeder Machine is available in two variants: Small and Large capacity models. The difference between the variants lies in the overall machine dimensions, peeler size, and sieving tray capacity, which increase proportionally in the larger model to achieve higher output. Functional operation and separation quality remain identical across both variants.
